Context and Background​

Jamberoo Action Park, the largest family-owned water park in New South Wales, welcomes thousands of guests daily during peak periods. Jamberoo ensures seamless operations and memorable experiences for every visitor by prioritising experience, managing wait times, distributing visitors more effectively, and optimising staff placement.

To support its growth and maintain their high standards, Jamberoo partnered with Nola Technologies in 2023 to integrate an innovative crowd analytics platform into its operations.

Key Objectives: Improve customer experience by:

  1. Preventing bottlenecks through awareness of actual and predicted queue wait times across the park

  2. Improving the distribution of visitors across rides through customer facing wait times or communications

  3. Increasing throughput by allocating staff effectively across rides

  4. Enhancing safety with alerts relating to wind speeds and occupancy

Scalability & Adaptability:

Nola, working closely with Jamberoo developed new approaches to queue length estimation where cameras have no coverage, to become a more cost-effective solution.

Future Opportunities
Jamberoo is set to release customer facing dashboards in the next 6 months, to further enhance visitor expectations.
