CASE STUDY: JAMBEROO ACTION PARK

+10 Points Uplift.

That's what wait time transparency did to Jamberoo's (NPS) Net Promoter Score.

How Waterparks like Jamberoo Are Turning Nola's
Wait Time Data Into a Guest Experience Win

+10 NPS points.

That's the Net Promoter Score lift that Jamberoo Action Park, a Nola customer of three years, achieved on days with 5,000+ guests, simply by displaying Nola's real-time wait estimates.

Peak days are usually when queue friction is at its worst. Yet Jamberoo saw an immediate jump in sentiment the moment guests could see the numbers.

Actual wait times didn't change, and:

  • No new rides were built

  • Dispatch and throughput performance were unchanged

  • No new marketing campaigns were launched

It was the exact same wait, just made visible. Replacing uncertainty with clear expectations removed the friction of waiting in the dark.

Methodology: Nola's wait time data went live for guests in December 2025. NPS was measured on days with 5,000+ guests across December and January, and compared against the same period the previous year. No major operational, pricing, or marketing changes occurred during this window. Guest feedback was collected via post-visit email survey.

1. How It Was Collected

Nola anonymously extracts throughput, dispatch times, and actual and estimated wait times from a park's existing CCTV infrastructure. All video processing runs on-premises, no footage or guest imagery leaves the park's network. Read more on how it works here

2. The Hidden Challenge of Waterpark Operations

Water park designs featuring open slide towers and zero turnstiles make real-time throughput and wait times nearly impossible to track manually.

Historically, gathering this data meant assigning staff to count dispatches by hand: an ongoing labor expense operators can rarely justify. Even then, manual spot checks are notoriously inaccurate. Before deploying Nola RideFlow, Jamberoo Action Park relied on periodic counts, only to discover that automated tracking revealed actual throughput was 20-30% lower than the manual spot checks conducted throughout the day.

Nola revealed actual throughput was 20-30% lower than the manual spot checks conducted throughout the day.

Miscalculated guest flow masks underlying operational drag (such as conveyor belt delays or slow tube returns) and leads to misaligned shift scheduling.

Nola’s RideFlow eliminates this blind spot. At a fraction of the cost of manual labor, it delivers the real-time data needed to optimise attraction performance, balance staffing, and inform guests without adding operational friction.

3. Bringing Industry-Leading Guest Experience to Their Next Project, Sydney Action Park

Jamberoo wasn't chasing a guest experience problem. They're already among the top-rated parks in the region (TripAdvisor Travelers' Choice award, top 10% of properties, and a 4.6 Google Reviews score as of August 2026, based on 4,756 reviews). But a strong score only tells you guests are happy, it doesn't tell you whether your wait time estimates are accurate, or whether that accuracy is costing you anything. That's part of what makes the +10 NPS lift notable: it didn't come from fixing something broken; it came from a park already performing well finding headroom its own metrics couldn't see. The uncertainty guests feel while waiting doesn't show up in a satisfaction score; it just sits quietly underneath it. Jamberoo chose to look anyway.

Pairing Nola with their existing operating standard proved that even a strong-performing park had room most reviews and ratings simply aren't built to capture.

Now, they're bringing that exact playbook to Sydney.

Following their acquisition and rebranding of Raging Waters into Sydney Action Park, The Eddy Group of Companies is deploying Nola’s RideFlow across the new property in 2026. It marks the first step in applying Jamberoo's high-standard operational model to elevate the Sydney guest experience from day one.

"We have always strived to improve the guest experience in every way we can, but this showed us there was still uncertainty we hadn't accounted for. Giving guests visibility into wait times, backed by data we could finally trust, took something that was already working well and made it better. That's what we want to bring to Sydney Action Park this season."
